This summer, Friends of Midtown is bringing to the Midtown Cinema a series of free outdoor films the whole family can enjoy.
From June through August, neighbors may view a mix of such classics and family-friendly films as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Batman, Plan 9 from Outer Space, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Licensing these films is expected to cost $1250. Equipment to play them expected to cost another $3800.
We will not be charging admission to these events, so we’re seeking sponsors to offset the expected costs.
Although we’d be happy to receive a $5000 tax-deductible donation to list you as the sponsor of the entire series, we realize that’s unlikely, so we’re interested in breaking it into manageable chunks.
Donate $500 or more and we will list you as the sponsor of one film. But even six of these donations will cover only $3000, so we’re looking for the other $2000 in smaller quantities from memberships, sales of Friends of Midtown t-shirts and #ShopMidtown coupon books, and smaller donations.
We thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide to help bring this film series to Midtown.
