Get Involved

We encourage you to join Friends of Midtown today. The membership dues fund the activities of several dynamic committees that collectively work to fulfill our mission of improving Midtown.

Beautification

The Beautification Committee is focused on improving the aesthetics and livability of Midtown by organizing community cleanups, planting ornamental and functional vegetation, and promoting awareness of urban sustainability.

Contact Beautification Chair Cate Rowe, beautification@friendsofmidtown.org.

Citizen Safety

The Citizen Safety Committee looks for opportunities to education Midtown residents on public safety issues and works with other community organizations to improve the safety of the community. The Committee also coordinates a Midtown Community Foot Patrol.

Events

The Events Committee looks for ways to connect neighbors and showcase Midtown as a vibrant, enjoyable, and culturally diverse community by hosting social gatherings and family-friendly outings.

Business

For Midtown to be sustainable as a community, it needs a thriving business presence. The Business Committee focuses on improving the business environment and Midtown and creating mutually beneficial relationships between Friends of Midtown and businesses.

Membership

Friends of Midtown is only as strong as its members, so the Membership Committee is always looking for ways to engage new individuals and keep members involved.

Communications

As Friends of Midtown continues to grow, so do the needs for greater outreach. The Communications Committee maintains FOM’s relationships with current and prospective members and the local media.
